The charger, the consumer unit, and where the supply comes into the property. Two minutes.
Send photos and we will tell you what the fault is before we travel. Some we clear remotely, which costs you nothing. Every major brand, including the ones we did not install.

We explain what we think the fault is before we arrive. If your charger is beyond saving, we carry replacement units on the van, or we lend you a working charger while you decide.
We have installed and managed EV chargers since 2019. Repair is not a sideline. The engineer who diagnoses your fault carries the parts, fits the fix and stands behind the work.

You hear what we think the fault is before we arrive. Some of it we clear remotely, which costs you nothing.
Within 24 to 72 hours, or the same day. Diagnosis and the first hour of labour are in the price, with parts on the van.
Repaired, or replaced from van stock the same day, or a loan charger while you decide.
Whoever fitted it, whatever the brand, we diagnose first and replace last. Logged, fixed and signed off by evon.

Charger works but the app is dead. No support line answers. You cannot see charging history or start a session remotely.

Remote diagnostics, firmware updates and account recovery. Most software faults are cleared the same day without a site visit.
Fault logged
The charger died after a power cut and nobody knows which breaker feeds it. The unit shows nothing and the manual is long gone.
Resolved · with evon
We test the circuit, not just the unit. Supply faults are traced to the breaker, RCD or wiring and repaired to standard.
Fault logged
A cracked case, water ingress or a severed cable. The unit still powers on, so nobody is sure if it is safe to use.
Resolved · with evon
We make it safe the same visit, then repair or replace on honest advice. If a repair is not economical we say so with a fixed price.
Fault logged
The company that fitted the charger has stopped answering. Warranty paperwork, app access and spare parts all went with them.
Resolved · with evon
We adopt orphaned installations across every major brand. Access recovered, spares sourced and the unit brought under evon cover.
Fault logged
The manufacturer wants the original installer to handle the claim. Without them the warranty is worth nothing on paper.
Resolved · with evon
Where a claim is valid we handle it with the manufacturer directly. Where it is not, you get a plain price before any work starts.

No certificates, no test records, no handover pack. Selling the property or making a claim turns into a search through old emails.

Records rebuilt, tested and stored digitally against the site. Ready to share the day anyone asks for them.

What you might pay on top. The visit covers diagnosis, first hour labour and small parts. Failed components cost extra, a fuseboard breaker is usually £20 to £50. You approve before we fit.
What the fee covers. Attending, diagnosing and getting you charging again. Not a guaranteed fix, and we do not offer no fix, no fee. Intermittent faults sometimes need a second visit.
VAT and grants. Prices exclude VAT at 20%. No grants or reduced VAT on repair work.
Swapping onto a circuit that already exists is the cheaper job. We fit one of the units we carry. No second visit, no survey fee, no waiting on a delivery, and you are charging the same day. A new charger installed from scratch typically costs £962 to £1,250 once the survey, cable run and connection are counted.
The Scandinavian all-rounder. Compact, quietly styled, and packed with smart charging tech we fit more than any other charger.
The smart tariff specialist. Small, simple and built to charge when electricity is cheapest on tariffs like Intelligent Octopus Go.
The ePod with a screen and a cable. Set schedules and see charging costs on the charger itself, no phone needed.
The design-led British charger. Slim, LED-lit and solar compatible, with one of the best apps on the market.
The new generation Zappi. Slimmer, smarter and still the benchmark for charging your car from your own solar.
The solar classic. British made, proven on thousands of homes, and built to charge from your panels with grid modes for everyone else.
The British workhorse. Built in Lincolnshire by one of the longest standing names in EV charging, and a favourite on our commercial installs.
The value smart charger. Solar surplus charging, built in 4G and a five year warranty, without the premium price tag.
Not everything needs an emergency. A planned visit, with a written report listing what we found and what we recommend.

Sometimes the honest answer is replace. We will tell you when that is the case rather than take the repair fee and leave you with a unit that fails again in four months.
Most of the faults we attend are on this list. Diagnosis and the first hour of labour are in the price, and the parts travel on the van.
If you do not want one of the units we carry, or you would rather get other quotes first, we fit a loan unit before we leave. You charge tonight and take your time. Free for up to 14 days depending on your tier, then £12 a week.
Either way you have a working charger by the time we drive off.
Sometimes the unit has genuinely reached the end. When that is the call, we say so, and we can fit one of the units we carry the same day.
The test we use is simple. If the parts needed cost more than half the price of a new charger, replacing it makes more sense than fixing it. You will be told which side of that line you are on before anything is decided.
More common than you would think, and it has caught out plenty of people who did nothing wrong.
A charger fitted under an OZEV grant between 2021 and 2023 came with a three year warranty and an installer who was supposed to support it. Some of those companies have since stopped trading. When the installer goes, the warranty route usually goes with it.
We take those on. There is no requirement that we fitted the unit, and we will not ask you to prove anything about a company that no longer exists.
Worth being straight about, so you do not waste a call. If your problem sits on this list, we will say so when you ring and point you at the right door instead. The honest no costs you nothing. A wasted visit would cost you the fee.
Go to the manufacturer first. You will pay nothing and we would only be charging you for something you are entitled to free.
Power cuts, meter problems and supply faults sit with your DNO, not with us. We will tell you if that is what we find.
That is the commercial side. See our commercial EV charging services.
We cover London and a wide surrounding radius. If you are beyond it, we will say so when you call rather than after.
Usually one of four things, and only one of them is a broken charger. A tripped protective device, a lost connection, a firmware change, or a worn connector. What you can safely check yourself, and when to stop and call somebody.
Most of them, yes. A large share of what people call a broken charger is a tripped device, a firmware problem or a lost connection rather than a broken unit. What is fixable, what is not, and why the warranty is the first thing to check.
Priced as a diagnostic visit plus parts, and the common parts are inexpensive. A protective device is usually £20 to £50. What makes a repair expensive, and the quoting pattern worth watching out for.
That the unit has detected a problem and stopped, rather than that it is dangerous. There is no industry standard for the colours, so the brand and the flash pattern both matter. What to try, and when to stop.
Rarely because a part wore out. Protective devices trip, firmware updates break things, connections drop, and the incoming supply spikes. That last one is barely written about anywhere, and it belongs to your network operator rather than to you.
Three questions settle it: what failed, does the brand still exist, and how old is the unit. The brand question ends more repairs than any technical factor. Plus the comparison most quotes leave out.
You are not tied to whoever fitted it. Your manufacturer warranty usually survives them because it sits with the maker; the workmanship guarantee does not. What to gather before you call anybody, and what a good first visit looks like.
Around eight to ten years for a well made unit, which is the figure we work to. Published estimates run higher. What actually decides it, and the reason most chargers are retired before the hardware gives up.
Eight questions covering fault finding, repair costs, red lights, and what to do when the installer has vanished.
