Five OZEV grant schemes remain open for EV charging in 2026. The table below shows every active scheme, who claims it, and what it pays per socket.

Per socket rates were uplifted from £350 to £500 on 1 April 2026, and the education rate moved from £2,500 to £2,000 for new applications. Every scheme covers up to 75% of the cost of buying and installing each socket, applications run through the government Find a Grant service introduced in April 2026, and installation must be carried out by an OZEV authorised installer. The Flats and Renters Grant requires private off street parking; the On-Street Parking Grant requires a cross pavement charging solution such as a gully.
The Residential Landlord Chargepoint Grant is claimed by the building owner or management company. The Flats and Renters Grant is claimed by individual residents for their own parking bay. Both stack on the same installation, and we handle both.

Get a free school site surveyThree infrastructure grants closed on 31 March 2026 and the Depot Charging Scheme closed in November 2025. The schemes below are no longer open to new applications. If your project depended on one of them, the active schemes above still apply and we structure proposals to make the most of them.

Applications made before the deadlines remain valid: installer claims under the closed schemes were due by 26 May 2026, with final resubmissions by 6 July 2026.

The landlord grant is claimed by landlords, RMCs, property management companies, housing associations and freeholders. Businesses claim the WCS. Residents with a dedicated bay claim the Flats and Renters Grant in their own name.
The Workplace Charging Scheme runs until 31 March 2027. After closure, installations carry the full cost. Grant approvals take time, so projects planned for the funding window should start surveys early.
State-funded schools qualify for the enhanced WCS: 75% off, £2,000 per socket, up to 40 sockets per institution, £80,000 maximum per school. MATs claim per institution. Independent schools claim the standard £500 rate.
