More teachers and staff are driving electric vehicles. Without on site charging, they charge elsewhere or choose a different workplace. Schools with charging infrastructure gain an advantage. The gap between staff expectations and available charging keeps widening.

Charging at work attracts and retains quality staff, supports your sustainability and net zero commitments, and can generate revenue by opening chargers to the public evenings and weekends.

Installing EV charging at schools involves challenges other sites do not face. Safeguarding around contractors on site. Scheduling around term times and exams. Budget constraints and approval processes. Multiple stakeholders across governors, MATs and local authorities. Power capacity on older school buildings. This is where most projects stall.

We work specifically with schools. A single site survey tells you what your supply can take, what the grant will fund, and how staff and public charging gets billed. Business managers and estates teams get a turnkey service that removes all complexity.

We bring EV charging to every school.

We specialise in EV charging for businesses. Practical expertise, turnkey delivery from design to completion, and management that does not stop at handover.

The business case for school charging.

Four reasons it pays to install

Staff demand is growing and the education grant rate is 4x the standard business scheme. Here are four reasons it pays to install now.

Explore the four reasons
Reason 01

Attract and retain quality staff

More teachers and staff are driving electric vehicles. Without on site charging, they charge elsewhere or choose a different workplace. A full battery at the end of the school day is a benefit people notice.

Reason 02

Generate revenue outside school hours

Open chargers to the public during evenings, weekends and holidays. Some schools generate £2,000 or more annually while providing a service to their community. Automated scheduling handles the switchover and revenue goes directly to your school.

Reason 03

The grant rate is 4x the standard

State funded schools claim £2,000 per socket through the Workplace Charging Scheme, against £500 for standard businesses. Up to 40 sockets per institution, open until 31 March 2027. The funding window will not stay open forever.

Reason 04

Support your net zero commitments

School charging cuts the carbon from staff commutes and supports your sustainability targets. It is practical progress that governors, parents and the local community all recognise.

Your school, EV ready in four steps. From first survey to live chargers, managed around term times.

01

Survey and design

We assess your power capacity, map the best charger placement for staff parking, check grant eligibility, and hand you a clear proposal with the funding already worked in.

02

Grants and approvals

We apply for the Workplace Charging Scheme for education, manage the grant voucher window, and handle the DNO notifications and any local authority approvals.

03

Installation

Our own engineers install the distribution, load management and charge points, scheduled around term times and coordinated with your safeguarding lead.

04

Testing and handover

We test, certify and commission, train your business manager on the portal, onboard your staff, and submit the final grant claim.

Billing, access, monitoring. Handled.

We handle billing, access and monitoring in the background. If a charger goes offline, we know before you do. Usage revenue covers the school's energy costs.

Billing and payments

Every session is metered and billed automatically. Staff pay per kWh through the app or RFID card, public users pay during evenings and weekends, and revenue transfers directly to the school’s bank account with monthly reconciliation reports for governors and finance teams.

Access control

Assign charging permissions for staff, visitors, or public users. Control who can charge, when, and at what rate, by app, QR code or RFID card.

Monitoring and maintenance

We watch every charger around the clock. Remote monitoring fixes 90% of issues instantly, and our own engineers handle maintenance and annual safety inspections for the life of the system.
