Which EV Chargers Work With OVO Charge Anytime?

TL;DR

Hypervolt Home 3 Pro, myenergi Zappi v2.1, Nexblue Point 2, Indra and Andersen chargers work with OVO Charge Anytime. Ohme chargers do not. OVO removed Ohme support in July 2025, and older articles still listing it are out of date. The Easee One is not compatible either. You can also join through a compatible car instead.

The Compatibility Table

Checked against OVO’s official compatible chargers page, July 2026. From the chargers we install:

Beyond our lineup, OVO’s list also includes Indra Smart Pro and Smart Lux, Andersen A2 and A3, and evec models.

The Ohme Change Catches People Out

This is the detail that matters most. Ohme chargers worked with Charge Anytime for years, and plenty of guides online still say they do. OVO removed Ohme support in July 2025 after a platform upgrade. Customers were emailed directly.

If you are set on OVO, choose the Hypervolt or the Zappi V2. If you already own an Ohme, you are not stuck. Ohme’s native strength is Intelligent Octopus Go, and switching supplier is usually easier than switching charger.

How Charge Anytime Works

Charge Anytime is an add on to a standard OVO electricity account, not a standalone tariff. Your home rate stays the same. OVO measures the electricity your car takes through the compatible charger or car, then bills that charging separately at the smart rate.

The pay as you go rate is 14p per kWh, charged whenever OVO smart schedules your car. There are also monthly plans from around £27.50 that bundle home charging miles with a public charging voucher worth £120 or £240 depending on the plan. The 14p rate is higher than Intelligent Octopus Go at around 8p, so the plans and vouchers are where OVO makes sense, especially if you use public charging regularly.

To join you need an OVO account, a smart meter, and a compatible car or charger. One or the other is enough. OVO connects directly to cars from Tesla, VW, Audi, Cupra, Skoda, BMW, Renault and Volvo among others.

Choosing Between OVO and Octopus

We fit chargers for both every week. The honest answer: pick the tariff first, then the charger. Two of our lineup keep both doors open. The Hypervolt Home 3 Pro sits on both compatibility lists with the longest track record, and the Nexblue Point 2 now connects to both as the value option. That flexibility is worth having if you might switch supplier later.
